JAKE CHAPPELOW

CEO / FOUNDER

Jake envisioned creating a local restaurant and bar built on the core values of integrity and innovation, with a heartfelt commitment to prioritizing the customer experience. With 30 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, Jake's steadfast determination and straightforward approach led to the establishment of Burg & Barrel. Today, Burg & Barrel has grown to include three locations in Overland Park, Leawood, and Lenexa, as well as a private event space called the Rickhouse and the Burg & Barrel Food Truck. Jake lives locally with his wife, Mandy, and their three children.

MANDY CHAPPELOW

CFO / FOUNDER

Mandy’s passion for the service industry began 30 years ago at Jerry's Bait Shop in Lenexa. Her ambition and drive for excellence didn’t stop there. Driven by a desire to create something of her own that truly reflected her vision, Mandy opened a bar in the Crossroads District of downtown Kansas City. When Mandy joined forces with Jake, they combined their talents and aspirations to establish Burg & Barrel. Her commitment to the local community and her original vision continue to be the heart of each Burg & Barrel location, making them vibrant and welcoming spots for everyone who walks through the door.

ULISES MUNOZ

EXECUTIVE CHEF / FOOD TRUCK PARTNER

Ulises has always been involved in the restaurant industry and has worked in various restaurant kitchens in both Kansas and Missouri. As the Executive Chef for Burg & Barrel, he oversees kitchen operations for all locations.  Ulises’ passionate commitment to excellence carries through in his fine eye for detail and commitment to quality. His rapid ability to organize and mobilize kitchen staff makes him a valued and respected leader in the industry. A true visionary, he is thorough in his assessment of quality and proficiency.
